The Jazz Ensemble consists of standard jazz/rock instrumentation including saxophones, trumpets, trombones and rhythm section (bass, guitar, keyboard, drums). There are also opportunities for one or more vocalists to perform with the ensemble. The Jazz Ensemble performs a range of musical styles including jazz, rock, pop, Latin, Motown and funk. Due to the nature of working as part of an ensemble, regular attendance and commitment is essential for students interested in joining the Jazz Ensemble. Students are expected to practice their parts at home in addition to participation in rehearsals. Students who wish to be part of the Jazz Ensemble must also be members of either the Choir (vocalists) or Concert Band (instrumentalists, as applicable).
Cost: Students will be required to pay for bus travel to events such as TYME
Other Information: Formal uniform will be required for performances
