At Highfields State Secondary College, our motto, Learners today, Leaders tomorrow, reflects our commitment to supporting every student to grow as a learner, as a person and as a future leader.

We believe that leadership begins with the choices students make each day: how they approach challenges, how they treat others, how they contribute to our school community and how they take responsibility for their learning.

Our Motto

Learners today, Leaders tomorrow captures the journey of our students as they develop the knowledge, skills and character needed for success beyond school. Through engaging learning experiences, high expectations and strong support, students are encouraged to become confident, capable and active members of their community.

Our College Values

Our values guide the way we learn, work and interact at Highfields State Secondary College. They help shape a safe, respectful and supportive environment where all students can achieve their best.

Resilience

We encourage students to respond positively to challenges, learn from setbacks and continue striving towards their goals.

Persistence

We value effort, determination and commitment. Students are supported to keep working towards improvement, even when learning is difficult.

Kindness

We promote care, empathy and consideration for others. Kindness strengthens our school community and helps every student feel valued.

Respect

We expect students to show respect for themselves, others, learning, property and the wider community.

Responsibility

We support students to take ownership of their actions, their learning and their contribution to our college.
