Highfields State Secondary College welcomes enrolment enquiries from families living within the College catchment area.

The College operates under an Enrolment Management Plan. Families should review the Enrolment Management Plan and confirm catchment eligibility before commencing the enrolment process.

Enrolment Management Plan

For enrolment enquiries, please contact the College office on (07) 4614 7222 or email enrolments@highfieldsssc.eq.edu.au.

Current enrolments

Families seeking enrolment during the current school year are welcome to contact the College administration to discuss enrolment requirements.

Parents and carers should complete the full enrolment package, which includes the required enrolment forms and Student Resource Scheme information.

Highfields State Secondary College Enrolment Package (PDF, 7MB)

Completed enrolment packages can be submitted to enrolments@highfieldsssc.eq.edu.au.

Please ensure all required sections are completed and suitable student identification and proof of residence are included before submitting the enrolment package to the College.

2027 Expression of Interest

Expressions of Interest are now open for students seeking enrolment at Highfields State Secondary College in 2027.

Parents and carers can submit an Expression of Interest using the form below:

Expression of Interest Form 2027 (PDF, 267KB)

Once the College has received the Expression of Interest and confirmed that the student resides within catchment, an enrolment interview can be arranged.

Enrolment interviews

Enrolment interviews may be conducted face-to-face or online using a digital platform.

The interview focuses on the student, so it is important that the student attends the interview with their parent or carer.

For students with specific needs, an individual enrolment interview can be arranged with a member of staff.

Where appropriate, the enrolment interview may include a College tour.

Documents required

Before booking a formal enrolment interview, families should return the completed enrolment documentation and provide relevant supporting documents.

Please provide the following where applicable:

  • completed enrolment package
  • student birth certificate
  • proof of residence
  • current court orders relating to the welfare, safety or parenting arrangements of the student
  • medical information, including action plans, medication details or disability information
  • recent school reports or NAPLAN reports, particularly for students transferring from a non-state school.

If the enrolment package is not completed before the interview, families may be asked to arrive earlier so the documentation can be checked before the appointment.

Student Resource Scheme

Highfields State Secondary College operates a Student Resource Scheme. Student Resource Scheme information is included in the enrolment package.

Parent handbook

Families are encouraged to read the Highfields State Secondary College Parent Handbook (PDF, 2.58MB) before commencing enrolment.

2027 Year 7 Parent Information Evening

The College will offer a Parent Information Evening for 2027 Year 7 students and their families in Term 3.

Families will be invited via submitted Expression of Interest forms or feeder school contacts. The evening will include a 45-minute presentation followed by a short question and answer session. Enrolment packages will be available for collection at the conclusion of the session.

2027 Year 7 Transition Days

Students enrolling in Year 7 at Highfields State Secondary College in 2027 will be invited to attend a Year 7 Transition Day in Week 9 of Term 4.

Highfields State Schools students will have a separate transition day due to the larger cohort intake. Students from other primary schools will attend a combined transition day.
