Assembly was opened by Mrs Kennedy
Values Certificates: Responsibility Certificates were awarded to Zayne Crawford, Ezzanda Casey and Heidi King by Mrs Kennedy. Zayne showed responsibility by handing in a wallet that he found and Ezzanda and Heidi had assisted Mrs Kennedy with set up for assembly each week.
Mother’s Day Stall: Year 8 Economics and Business students are holding a Mother’s Day stall today at first break.
Bike Racks: An out of bounds area unless you have a bike or skateboard stored there during school hours.  Nobody is to touch or borrow any student’s skateboard or bike as this could be considered as theft.
Vivo Points: Mr Manteufel presented ‘Jump the Queue’ and ‘$3 Canteen’ vouchers to students who redeemed their vivo points recently.
Cross Country/Fun Run: Mr Wingrave had the pleasure of announcing the age champions from the Cross Country.  Congratulations to the following students -
Age Champions:
Boy Under 12 – Isaak Brew
Girl Under 12 – Holly Simmons
Boy Under 13 – Remo Hurst
Boy Under 14 – Jacson McNamara
Girl Under 14 – Holly Thompson
Boy Under 15 – Sean Bruhn
Girl Under 15 – Jessica Wallace
Boy Under 16 – Cameron Gray
Girl – Under 16 – Elizabeth Pitts
Boy Under 17 –Kilian Keenan
Girl Under 17 – Meaghan Levis
The overall placings for the houses, based on results from the 6 minute challenge, the war cry challenge and the cross country were as follows -
Freeman House : 530 points
Chisholm House : 580 points
Doyle House : 620 points
Dunlop House : 650 points
Zac Stritch-Hoddle and Riley Taylor, Dunlop House captains were presented with the shield by Mrs Barker.
Wednesday Afternoon Sport: Mr James was concerned that quite a number of students had not returned their activity consent forms in order to participate in interschool sport activities.  The Admin staff would be attempting to contact parents today to obtain permission for these students to participate in today’s activities.  These consent forms still need to be returned as soon as possible to Mr James in the C Block staffroom and not the Student Support desk in Admin.
